I'm a Libra baby (just). I was supposed to be born in late September, but, as I have never been on time for anything in my entire life, I finally made an appearance somewhere toward the end of October.
In our house we have a rule that you aren't allowed to even mention your birthday before the first day of the month it falls in. This means we have 20 days of K angst-ing about what his presents might be to endure, while the MOTH, whose birthday falls on the first day of the month, has no
"looking forward to" to enjoy.
Since the beginning of the month, I have been well aware that (it seems suddenly) I'm a
lot closer to 40 than I am to 25.
We were watching TV, wherein a mother wanted to spend more time with her teenage daughter. Understandably, the daughter wasn't too impressed at the thought, and responded with the withering comment ...
"But Mom, you're twice my age, and really not that cool !!"K was quiet for a few seconds, counting frantically on his fingers with his tongue between his teeth and a look of intense concentration on his face ...

"Hey Mum, did you know that in two weeks you're going to be FOUR times my age ?!?!?"MOTH : (snort)

"But you're still cool, even though you're old !!!"Gee thanks.
