Probably the very best Queen's Birthday holiday we have ever had !!!
K and the MOTH had a snowball fight ....
And S stood around looking cute and windswept ...
All this less than ten minutes from home in a park on the other side of town !!!
There's no snow in Whangarei :P

I see way to much of it to be excited but I can understand the novelty of it if it's not always around like for 5 months at -45c.
Did I meantion its 28c today hmmm
It looks like everyone is having fun and I do rememnber being a kid waiting for the first snow fall to go out there and enjoy it.
Then I got older and was told that the shovel was to use and not to ride.

melbourne...re-injured my scaphoid in my wrist... luckily didnt REbreak it but the rather beautiful xrays the local medical centre took established that i had in fact broken it before - they could see where the bone had reknitted. Doc said another MONTH b4 it is fully healed (n it was trying to fend off the gurls' 5yo nephew that did it this time).
While i was there he fixed the stupid ear infection which has been plagueing me for months - turns out it is no use treating the infection when you ALSO have exsma (whatever) there too so it was just getting irritated as hell all the time. Also had a renal ultrasound (kidney pain again sonoffabitch) found a stone in my bladder 9mm long (which was causing the pain but with stopped when it descended) n another round one 10mm across in my kidney. bastard. passed th first one easily thank GOOOODD. big bugger it were too. Had a bloody 24 hour virus the NIGHT we got home too projectile vomited for 12 hours straight then had to drive to mums the next day to get my dog (dad insisted - long story email one ) I dont remember thursday.... Could barely stand up hell i could barely hold my head up while sitting :/ Bec is now experiencing it n said today 'if ida realised exactly HOW sick you were i wouldnt have let you drive us down there n back' like derr.
Her brother GAVE us a 1995 ford falcon futura wagon which was supplus to his requirements. So we have a newish car to bolt around in. needs rego n a little work (nothing major - dad came down on the train n we drove it home wednesday with a movement permit) but now we wont be killing my peugeot towing the trailer round to swapmeets getting rid of our stuff. The ford is a 4litre 6 with auto which is much better for towing (even a shitty trailer) than my 2litre 4. So then I got sick etc. Had an eventful 2 weeks eh
oh n mercy of mercies i actually MEASURED my foot last week while wishfully thinking about a nice pair of adidas squash shoes Id found - n found out I am a US 10.5 not a 12 as some bone headed shoestore clerk had told me when I bought my nikes. and my lottos. and come to think it is why i have ALWAYS prefered my ratty OLD nikes to my nice new ones. anyway i ended up with said adidas shoes for my 40th birthday (yay me on monday)nice n cheap n i had a run on the court in them today n its amazing what a difference it makes. I felt fast n agile (ME!!!! AGILE!!!!! pfft) this remember after 2 weeks of kidney stone rubbish food in melbourne and firstly the stomach virus and secondly not having eaten more than lemme see... after the attempt to eat a slice of pizza on wednsday night failed... a can of pears (opened thursday evening finished lunch today, about 30grams of rice on friday evening n a ham sandwish at lunch today. I was still weak as a kitten yesterday. N agile n really rather enjoying running round in the damn things today. Love my adidas squash shoes. always have. This is the first pair ive seen here in bloody years I could actually try on b4 forking out $200USD to buy em online n hell ida naturally put myself down as a size 12 n woulda hated them.
